The SmartAX MA5800, the multi-service access device, is a 4K/8K/VR ready OLT for the Gigaband era. It employs distributed architecture and supports PON/10G PON/GE/10GE/100GE in one platform. FTTR (Fiber-To-The-Room) for enterprise networks is an all-optical access architecture that extends fiber from the OLT to each room or unit, using FTTR ONTs and in-room gateways as intelligent endpoints. Compared with traditional copper-based LANs, FTTR enables room-level gigabit and multi-gigabit. Huawei OLT aggregates various terminals and provides high-density ports, which can reduce network nodes, sites, and equipment rooms. The system switching capacity and performance are improved, with the throughpu of a single slot reaching up to 200 Gbit/s. It provides multiple fiber to the home (FTTH) solutions to meet the requirements of economical and efficient network construction.
