The PDU (Power Distribution Unit), also known as switch box, is a protection circuit for lithium batteries. As an essential component of the battery, it communicates directly with the BMS which sends its instructions to apply in order to bring safety for the whole system. PDU is short for Power-Distribution-Unit The power distribution unit has been designed for EV (electric vehicle) known as "electric vehicle high voltage distribution box", "electric vehicle distribution box", "electric vehicle distributor" and "electric vehicle safety box". The fixed dimension with multiple battery combinations with a smart PDU system is a multi-configurable powertrain option ideal for commercial vehicles, including electric trucks, buses, and heavy-duty mining vehicles.
